Dogs eating poop is otherwise called coprophagia. They do this deliberately and not accidentally. There are many reasons for dogs eating poop. They are

HOW TO PREVENT DOGS FROM EATING POOP:

1.       Give the dogs a balanced and nutritious diet with good protein content.

2.       Train the dogs when they are very young.

4.       Cleaning immediately is one remedy.

5.       Train it to act according to your orders. If you train the dog to stop whatever it is doing when you say NO then you can prevent it from eating poop too.

6.       Reward the dog when it stops eating poop when you say NO.

7.       A complete examination in the veterinary clinic is a must.

8.       Pumpkins may be added to dog's diet.

9.       Fresh food may be served alternatively with dog food. Fresh food includes carrots, fresh meat, fish, etc.

10.   Behavior modification training must be given.

11.   Find the reasons for stress and help your pets in reducing stress.

12.   Keep your dog busy and engaged. Keep its mind sharp.

13.   Check with the vet if the diet is appropirte.
